Meet The Team


 

KATHY - Front Office Coordinator

KathyKathy has spent all of her career in dentistry. She has worked in several areas of practice and her love is in the front office and administrative part of Dr. Jackson’s practice. She feels that working with children is very rewarding and working for Dr. Jackson is truly a blessing. Kathy loves how Dr. Jackson is kind and compassionate with her patients and her team. What a great place to work! She has two children and loves professional baseball and college football. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, organizing and working in her yard.

CARRIE - Front Office

CarrieCarrie relocated to NC from upstate New York in 2001.  She attended AB Tech where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant license and worked for several years at a local nursing home. After a brief move back to New York, a friend directed Carrie toward a position working at the front desk in a pediatric dental office there, where she discovered a passion for office administration.  After returning to NC in 2011, she continued her career in dentistry and is happy to be working in a family-oriented office environment with Dr. Jackson and team!  In her spare time, she enjoys painting wine glasses, taking trips with her family and spending time with friends.

ERICA - Front Office

erica webErica was born and raised here in Asheville, North Carolina. She graduated from AB-Tech Community College where she studied to become a certified dental assistant with an Associate’s degree. Erica then spent 15 years working as an orthodontic dental assistant. For the past 10 years she has lived at the beach and after recently moving back home to Asheville, she’s found a home with the Asheville Pediatric Dentistry team! Outside of work, Erica likes spending time with her family and friends and being involved in her church community. She especially loves all things outdoors and has a passion for photography and traveling – capturing the beauty that surrounds her!

JOANNA - Clinical Coordinator

Joanna webpicJoanna graduated from AB Tech as a dental assistant in August 2013. She always knew she wanted to work in the dental field through the wonderful influence of her aunt, a dental hygienist. She loves children which motivated her toward a career in pediatric dentistry. In her free time she enjoys going to church, making quilts and spending precious time with her family. Joanna loves coming to work knowing that she is part of a family atmosphere from the wonderful, caring staff to the amazing patients and families!

TERI- Clinical

Teri webpicTeri has been in dentistry for 30 years. She relocated from northern Illinois and is enjoying her new home in the mountains. Teri was happy to find a new "work home" with Dr. Jackson, as working with children is most rewarding. She has 2 children and 2 granddaugthers. In her free time, she enjoys antiquing, cooking, camping and word games.

LYNDSAY - Clinical

Lyndsay webLyndsay graduated in July 2015 as a Certified Dental Assistant from AB Tech. She has always desired a career in the medical field since her youth, choosing the field of dentistry after having braces. Lyndsay grew up in 4-H and became a youth leader, where she developed a passion to help children. In her free time, she loves to hike, garden, attend church, and be in the sun by the water. You can find her with her family, especially her nephew, every chance she gets! Lyndsay looks forward working with your family here at Asheville Pediatric Dentistry!

RACHAEL - Clinical

IMG 2928 cropRachael graduated from AB Tech with an A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene. She lives on a small farm with horses, goats, and chickens. In her free time, she enjoys working on the farm, hunting with her dad and boyfriend, and spending time with her family. Rachael says, “I love that we are a family here at Asheville Pediatric Dentistry and everyone works together as a team. It is so wonderful to honestly say that I love my job.”

LORELLE - Clinical

Lorelle webLorelle graduated in May of 2015 with a degree in Dental Hygiene from AB Tech. In her free time, she loves to garden, cook, and hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway! What Lorelle loves most about working at Asheville Pediatric Dentistry is the fun-spirited environment and the opportunity to create positive dental experiences for children using kid-friendly props and tools that make learning about their teeth exciting and easy to understand.

Why see a pediatric dentist?

To be a “PEDIATRIC DENTIST”, the dentist must have completed 6 to 7 years of training, which includes 4 years of dental school plus an additional 2 to 3 years of rigorous residency training in the specialty of pediatric dentistry. PEDIATRIC DENTISTS learn special techniques to address the unique needs of children, including dental trauma and infections, and have extensive formal training in how to keep children as comfortable as possible during any treatment.

Why see our Doctors?

Our doctors have specialized training and are recognized as Board Certified Pediatric Dentists. Both Dr. Jackson and Dr. Hardaway excelled academically during their dental studies, with Dr. Jackson graduating second in her class from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Hardaway is commended as a leader in the dental community, serving as the President of the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
